橡膠接頭在使用的過程中避免受到太陽的照射或輻射，如果在室外使用，安裝后用保溫棉把橡膠接頭包裹起來，這樣就可以起到隔離紫外線輻射的問題，可以避免橡膠接頭表層橡膠快速老化，一個小小的改變可以讓橡膠接頭使用壽命增長。
